Youth Services

The Youth Services team at Doutta Galla Community Health Service offers a range of services and programs to young people, who live, work and recreate in North Melbourne, Kensington and West Melbourne.

We can provide short term individual support, referral and advocacy and counselling to young people aged 12–25, on a range of challenges they may be facing, including housing, legal, relationships and employment.

Who is eligible for service

Young people aged 12- 25 years who work, recreate, attend school, socialise in North Melbourne, Kensington and West Melbourne

Youth programs

We run various programs across Kensington, West Melbourne and North Melbourne for young people in a range of settings.
Programs include:
Sport and recreation
Art programs
Education and employment
Programs in City of Melbourne secondary schools
Some of the programs we have run include circus skills, dancing and song writing, as well as soccer and health and well-being workshops.
We provide programs that are culturally appropriate and accessible, which are created in consultation with community.

Youth counselling

Youth Services provide individual support to young people needing assistance with:
education and employment;
life skills;
housing;
one to one counsellingllinks to youth friendly doctors, nurses and dental services;
relationships and
health and well-being.
