Mission Statement

Doutta Galla provides high quality, culturally appropriate and accessible primary, community and mental health services with a particular focus on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in the cities of Melbourne and Moonee Valley.

Chinese Speaking Social Worker

Doutta Galla employs a social worker who speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin. The following services are provided:

  • Counselling - and Groups for individuals and families.
  • Casework - advocating for clients to gain access to services such as Centrelink, Housing and Aged Care Services and and ensuring that clients are referred to culturally appropriate services).
  • Family services - Providing parenting support and family violence prevention.
  • Groupwork - Providing health-related support for diabetes, dementia. Providing social support social . Parenting support group.
  • Community Development - working in partnership the Chinese Community Social Services Centre to extend aged care service to senior chinese speaking community.
  • Flemington neighbourhood renewal - supporting tenants to access services, communiy safety and well-being - promoting social participation.
