Post-natal exercise assistant

To help provide care for babies aged between four weeks and one year while their mothers exercise in the same room as part of a post-natal exercise program.

Janoak Outings Volunteer

Accompany residents with mental health issues on weekend outings to cafes, parks, sights of interest and so forth. Must have full driver's licence and be willing to drive a mini-van.

Volunteer - Music Teacher

We are currently seeking volunteer musicians to help teach basic music skills to refugee & marginalised young people residing in the Flemington & Ascot Vale Housing Estates.

The Doutta Galla Community Health program ‘Group 120’ is seeking volunteers who have a passion for popular music and a desire to help young people find their creative voice!

This program is based at Flemington Community Centre where weekly workshops include group and one-on-one tuition in the disciplines of song writing, music production, rapping, instrument tuition and musical performance.

Volunteer - Vietnamese Men's Group

The Vietnamese Men’s Group aims to provide community group outings relevant and responsive to the needs of Vietnamese men with a mental health diagnosis.

The position involves co-facilitating a range of recreational activities including lunch at restaurants, shopping centre & beach outings, education sessions and cultural celebrations. The co-facilitator will be responsible for supporting the mental health worker with managing the group, supporting client mental health needs, interpreting, program planning and assessment.

Complex Needs Volunteer

The vital role of Client Support Volunteers in CCCHS is to give and reflect to people using the service, the message of hope, affirmation, inclusion and empowerment. Different Volunteers will have different skills and interests and they will be matched to the broad range of tasks related to achieving the role of a Volunteer.

Connecting Mentor

The Connecting Mentor will assist the client in tailoring and achieving specific goals within the community in conjunction with Recovery Coaches. Examples of this may include joining a community group such as a walking group; completing a course; attending art exhibitions; activities such as fishing, attending community centres; visiting the library.

The aim of the mentoring process is for the client to gain confidence to attend the activity/service independently.

Every effort is made to match the client and Connecting Mentor based on similar skills or interests as a result this position will not commence immediately, it may take some time before we can match you with a suitable client, we appreciate your patience with this.
