Speech Pathology Service

The Speech Pathology service at Doutta Galla Community Health Service is provided for children between the ages of 0-6 years. A speech pathologist may assess and treat a child presenting with difficulties in one or more of the following areas

  • Understanding or using language
  • Producing speech sounds
  • Fluency (stuttering)
  • Voice problems
  • Eating skills

Community Nursing

In partnership with you and your Doctor, the Community Health Nurse complements and works to create a healthy and happy environment for you as an individual, your family and any groups that you may belong to.

Some programs & services offered by the CHN are:

  • Diabetes Prevention/Management
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Aged Care Support & Recreational Services
  • Community Asthma Program (for 0 to 18 year olds).
  • Home Based Falls Risk Assessments
  • Nurses Clinic. Compliments the Medical Service)
  • Stroke Prevention Program, for people who have recently been discharged from the Royal Melbourne.
