Janoak Villa Supported Residential

Service Is Available To Adults Who:

  • Have a serious psychiatric disorder that affects their ability to live independently
  • Have complex needs and want and require significant support with respect to living in a community setting
  • Would benefit from assistance to develop independent living skills and to set personal goals
  • Want to live in a group setting

Priority will be given to people facing accommodation difficulties due to the closure of their place of residence

The aim of Janoak villa is to provide an environment that promotes the wellbeing and quality of life of its residents.

We do this by providing:

  • A long-term home for residents
  • Individualised care plans that incorporate the person’s own goals
  • Assistance to further develop social and independent living skills
  • Support to further develop confidence and a sense of self worth
  • Assistance to participate in community activities and to access a range of services and resources such as health, mental health, recreational, legal, and financial services
  • Assistance to move to independent housing where this is the choice of the resident

STAFFING
The service is staffed by:

  • A full-time Personal Care Coordinator
  • Personal Care Workers
  • An outreach support work.

Staff are on-site 24 hours per day

TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION:

  • Furnished single rooms, bedding provided.
  • Meals: All provided; prepared on-site
  • In-house activities: Television, video, stereo, table games, books and sports equipment
  • Laundry: Fully equipped
  • Medication:  Blister Pack System used
  • Cleaning of rooms: Assistance provided as required
