Environmental Advocacy Group (EAG)

At a time of clear evidence regarding climate change, DGCHS, as a major provider of community health and support services in its local community, has a responsibility to ensure it understands and actively works toward reducing its own environmental impact in its community.

In keeping with Doutta Galla Community Health Service's commitment to promoting a healthy community an Environmental Advocacy Group (EAG)  has been established.

  • The Environmental Advocacy Group provides information to assist DGCHS understanding of its impact on the environment through both carbon emissions, water usage and other critical community environmental issues.

  • The EAG provides practical strategies to assist DGCHS to reduce its environmental impact and footprint.

  • The EAG educates and informs DGCHS management, staff and consumers about environmental strategies and best practice.

  • The EAG may assist with advocacy of environmental best practice in the catchment, as deemed appropriate.
