At a time of clear evidence regarding climate change, DGCHS, as a major provider of community health and support services in its local community, has a responsibility to ensure it understands and actively works toward reducing its own environmental impact in its community.
In keeping with Doutta Galla Community Health Service's commitment to promoting a healthy community an Environmental Advocacy Group (EAG) has been established.

The Environmental Advocacy Group provides information to assist DGCHS understanding of its impact on the environment through both carbon emissions, water usage and other critical community environmental issues.

The EAG provides practical strategies to assist DGCHS to reduce its environmental impact and footprint.

The EAG educates and informs DGCHS management, staff and consumers about environmental strategies and best practice.

The EAG may assist with advocacy of environmental best practice in the catchment, as deemed appropriate.
